IPB 2.0 - Using Subdomains?

I just installed it last nite. I know its not the final version, but Im having issues with using a subdomain with it.


Normally I setup forums as http://forums.xxxx.com

I can access and use the new ones via www.xxxx.com/forums
but as soon as I re-direct it to http://forums.xxxx.com I get the login screen, but when I attempt to login, it just tells me.

The error returned was:

You must enter a username

I setup the subdomain, I set it to redirect, I changed it in IPB 2.0 settings. Am I missing something? Anyone else have this prob? Any info is well apperciated.

you might want to change your cookie setings to reflect the change in url path

Im assuming your cookie setting has \forum as the path, that would change to \
