    IPB 1.2 upgrade to IPB 2.0

    I have a IPB 1.2 forum, and Id like to upgrade it to IPB 2.0 (I know its not final yet).

    Wondering if anyone here had done it already, or would like to give me a few pointers. Me and SQL just dont seem to get along. Last times Ive tried to update or re-locate my forums, Ive always ended up with a corrupt forum or such.

    Id like not to mess this one up. Any help is much apperciated!

    I'm pretty sure you'll have to upgrade to 1.3.1, then to 2 pdr 3.

    What I would do is disable your 1.2 forums (its in admin options). This will prevent any database changes.

    I'd then backup your database.

    Then I'm pretty sure you'll have to delete all the 1.2 files except conf_global.php.

    Then upload to 1.3.1 files, and run the upgrade script as per the instructions provided with the 1.3.1 zip file.

    Then do the same with 1.3.1 -> 2 (pdr3).

    You may also find http://forums.invisionpower.com useful for more information on this too.
