I have had 2 of the domains I host suspended, both of which were because of a script being exploited.
The first was an email script (installed via cpanel), which was used to send out spam. Andrew suspended the domain, and emailed me telling me what had happened. Because the domain sent out so many emails, it was not reinstated - I had to host that customer's site somewhere else instead.
The second was an old version of moveabletype, which was taking up too much CPU. It was suspended, and once again I was sent an email providing evidence. The client agreed to remove the script, so the domain was unsuspended. They did not do it quick enough so the domain was resuspended. I then terminated their account and set it up again, because my client agreed to start from scratch.
Both of these times, I was notified promptly via email of the suspension. I understand why Andrew cannot give prior notice before suspending an account.
All in all, I support Andrew's policies on suspending domains. After all, this is a shared hosting environment, and the first priority is the overall health of the server, not of an individual web site on the server.
Andrew, keep up the good work. I've been with your for over 2 years now, and with good reason too. If your servers were all insecure and unstable, I would have moved on long ago!
