I can tell your not a politician. The guy who sold me my last used car gave me a better pitch then, "Ya wan buy it?"

Please take that as a compliment. How about some sort of explaination of this Parties' platform?

Well, about 90% of the people are in the NAPA or Northern Alliance. Not too many in that fly over zone.

I'm so confused as well. My state is blue though.

Well, it is not actually another country. The governent statement regarding this at http://www.travel.state.tx.us/ad.asp is, "Texas. It's Like A Whole Other Country (R)." That is, the government of Texas has officially registered the statement that it is merely *like* another country in order to clarify the common misconception about Texas being another country.

              Hope this helps.

3 Theoretical Nations by year 2050

                (1) New America Pacific, *new* capitol: near St. George, a concession to get Utah to join its economically similar regional sister states despite traditional political differences (even if Utah has frequently had Democratic Governors). Having the capitol in Utah also mitigates the influence of population center, California.

                (2) American Republic, capitol: Austin, Texas, a relatively progressive city in a conservative state, a southern state and yet also a western state.

                (3) North American Alliance, capitol: Indianapolis, a concession to get Indiana to join its regional neighbor states, again, despite its traditional Republican votings patterns (Evan Bayh and Lee Hamilton come to mind as notable Democratic exceptions.)

Sorry Budd, that was supposed to be a joke. (No such Party.) However, if someone else started one, I'd certainly prefer it to our two-party mediocracy consisting of bad Democrats and worse Republicans.

Sorry, Texas is allready it own country...according to the 'Republic of Texas' they claim that Texas' annexation was illegal and want to seperate from the USA. They have filed a $93 trillion lien against the assets of the state of Texas.

                    Intresting group of people...

i would like to officially enter this thread in the 'oddest thread ever at dathorn' contest.

Thanks, we try hard but sometimes it just goes unappreciated

Well, actually that's not quite true. The current population of the United States is over 290 million.

The states shown in red add up to 97 million, over one third of the USA's population. Just 5 states: Texas, Florida, Virginia, Georgia, and North Carolina add up to 58 million.

The smallest population of the three areas is the Pacific/West region shown in blue, only about 60 million. Big area, low density.

I'll second that. Political discussions on a techy/webhosting forum that you have zero idea of who your audience is only going to lead to scary results.
