Thank you, now your suggestion makes much more sense. I will consider adding it here in the near future.

I'd like to see WebDav installed.
I'd like to see a simplified multi-username menu access to Horde (I hacked one togather myself but it is far from ideal.)
I'd like to see a secondary DNS failover system set up outside "The Planet" that simply checks each user domain (or IP) periodically - if the site is DOWN, it redirects web users accessing the site to a simple HTTP message that the site is down temporarily and to try again later.

Domain reg?
It's not something you currently offer and i don't know how viable it would be to add as a new services and re-seller services but what about being able to register domain names and in the case of IPS Tags having it generic rather than a specific company name...
Would mean i could register all my domains and my customers could under one company rather than having to use one hosting provider and a seperate domain provider.
Is it possible? or is dathron keen on staying hosting providers only?Comment

1) Since VPS option is totally out the door, how can I resell the reseller accounts and yet remain in total control of the new accounts? What I meant is that is there a way I can tie reseller accounts to my own main account?
2) Open up the WHM panel to the full or as much options as you possible can to us.Comment

Support for ruby/ruby on rails would be nice to have (either as an addon or as a whole other package if you aren't comfortable enabling support for it on all accounts by default)Denny Cave

Well, i just want to use this thread to say that i am currently very satisfied with the the service that Dathorn provides. I have skipped through 4 hosts in the past years, and nowhere have i found the customer service or hosting features that i recieve with Dathorn. In fact, when i talk about other companies customer service (not just hosting companies) i always mention dathorn as sort of benchmark, i believe all companies should provide support the way you do. As a result of all this, Dathorn has been the host i have stayed with the longest.
It's unlike me to make such posts, but i sincerely believe that Dathorn deserves it...Comment

ruby - WebDAV - dedicated hosting plans
I would also like to see Ruby (to use in Ruby On Rails).
I also think WebDAV would be great to have.
I have been using Dathorn for about 1 1/2 years and still can't believe
the wonderful level of support and active community. About a year ago
I was telling a friend about Dathorn and he decided to stick with his
hosting provider in CA. Now, he's making the change to Dathorn too.
Is there any word on Dedicated hosting plans? I'm sorry to hear
that VPS accounts are not going to work out at Dathorn.Scott James

i would like to see postgresql database support, cause it has a far better transaction support than mysql and has WAY more features and is considered more stable and faster (ie. supports multiple indexes when making complex queries )

ded/vps plans
I realize these are not available and may not ever be available.
I stumbled across an alternative at http://www.mosso.com they provide some interesting options. 80gb/2000mb bandwidth for $100/month. You can also run php/asp on the same account/site. You can also pay $3/month for them to provide support to your customers, something I though was pretty cool. They also will handle your monthly billing payments for your customers and domain registration for a small fee.
It would be great if we could have some of these options here as I really don't want to leave the great service I already have here.Comment

I am not sure if I am the first one to suggest this, or that has already been said, but anyway, it never hurts to ask. My partner for whom I am maintaning several websites is a longterm Dathorn customer. Originally he signed up for a "pro" account, which was at this time a 4G/60G offer. Now that the pricing has changed and older servers are slowly moving to the new great PHP5-powered platform, I feel that the old customers (2+ yrs?) are in the disadvantageous position.
Surely I've seen some unequable persons that cancel the old account to get a new one, but I don't think that's the right way to do things.
So, the question is, whether the old clients will be upgraded to the new plans after their server is upgraded to the new platform...
... and is there a rough roadmap of the upgrade process? As far as I can see you are going top to bottom, say 1 server per week which takes us to the mid-october?
Not that I am saying the we are desperately needing the webspace, but we are planning to undertake a PHP5 project this fall and PHP5 support and extra webspace would be nice. Note that I am not talking about price drops, bonuses etc. Anyone to second me?Comment

The plans listed on our website already include the current double bandwidth and disk specials. This special is still available to existing customers as well.
We are once again offering our double bandwidth and disk space special for an undetermined amount of time. This is included on all new orders free of charge. All existing customers based on the 2GB/30GB plans can submit a trouble ticket to our billing department to request that their bandwidth and disk space be doubled for a
All existing servers are being upgraded based on need. There is no set schedule at this point. We've upgraded a few servers this month alone already.Comment

Oh, I am very sorry, I must have completely missed this thread. Perhaps it's a worthy idea to mention somewhere on the website that those plans already include this special.
So that means that the old "Pro - 4G/60G" clients (at least right now) may take advantage of this offer (as described in the thread)?
P.S. OK. We'll need some patience and that'll come.Comment
