transfer website from one domain to another (still with dathorn)

I want to transfer my website to a new domain.. how can i do this? i went into whm and clicked modify account and changed the domain, but i have subdomains that aren't working.. can someone take a look? I tried to change it back since it wasn't fully working but it says that the DNS is already being used...

I too need a new domain name associated with a cpanel account I currently have setup with an old domain name.

I had heard previously that it was not good to change the URL associated with an account in cpanel once it was set up.

If that is the case, though, how would I set this up?

That is correct, you shouldn't use the change username feature of WHM as apparently it leaves behind a lot of mess that causes problems.
If i were you, i would remove the account and reset it up with the domain that you want to use.

Once you've done that, submit a support ticket saying you used the change username part of WHM. They'll have to clean up any mess WHM left behind.
