upload before propogation

What would the settings be for ftp uploading files before propogation takes place? Is it possible?

To FTP once you setup an account in WHM:
Host: cpanel##.gzo.com
Username: {account cpanel username}
Password: {account cpanel password}
NOTE: REPLACE ## with your server number in your welcome email

To view that account:
http://cpanel##.gzo.com/~user/ (a trailing slash is required!)

Do you know what number port you use - 21? Been mucking around with the ftp prog & changed lots of things.

How about just using your Host file? Then your ftp client, browser and whatever else should work like the domain propogated?

yourdomain.com 0.0.0.0
ftp.yourdomain.com 0.0.0.0

I couldn't get any of this to work in Dreamweaver until I just used the IP for hostname.
