Awstats stopped logging

I just released my new site and Awstats worked for about 30 minutes after i uploaded all of my files and now it stopped logging !! i gave a link to the site to different people from different countries but Awstats still only shows my IP and country (and it seems like an old log ,too).

What could i've done wrong?

*EDIT* and can Awstats be configured?

As far as i'm aware, Awstats runs once in the evening to stop the server getting overloaded.
This could be why none of your hits are showing.

Does that mean that Awstats record events and update the logs in the evening or only log events that occur in the evening?

Awstats has nothing to do with recording logs
The server logs everything that happesn during the day/night/all the time to a log file.
Awstats then picks up that log file at a certain time and processes it.
