default username in password protect dir

I hope this is a simple thinig.
In cpanel when I password protect a directory is there any way to have a default username be automatically entered in to that field when the user visits the directory?

Or even better, can there be ONLY a choice of a password and no required username? (basically no username field)

    p.

I don't think you can... I may be wrong though.

Passwodprotection is actyally putting .htaccess and .htpasswd fiels in directory you want to protect. You may simply upload theese files into directory you want to protect.
