    install scripts into domain root

i was playing around with some of the installation scripts in the cpanel and had a question about them. it seems that they can be installed into a subdirectory (www.domain.com/dir) of a domain but not the root (www.domain.com) of it. Is this correct? Is there anyway of getting around this and use a script to install into the root of the domain? i also tried logging into the main cpanel and installing the script into

but it said that "~domain" is not a vailid directory for installation.

I have searched the forums on this with no luck, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Eric

Install the script yourself It'll work. cPanel makes you install to a sub-directory.
