Anyone else having connectivity issues with their mySQL and cPanel on cp9, or is it only my WHM account? TIA

      cpanel09b mySQL connectivity problems

You're not alone, I've been having problems with connecting to mySQL and CPanel starting yesterday. Today, it's been intermitten. I've been submitting trouble tickets all day long. The admins reply quickly but their fix only lasts for a short while. I'm on cpanel09b. Any ideas what could be causing this?

            Same Problem on cpanel11

I'm having same connection problems on cpanel11. When I try to get to cpanel, it asks for the user/password, but nothing ever happens after that. FTP access has been very slow, or shuts off entirely. I put in trouble ticket just now.

As I've told many of you via the ticket system, the MySQL issues is a known problem that we are trying to fix as quickly as possible. It is the MySQL software itself that is crashing and sometimes failing to properly restart which is causing it to be unavailable. Unfortunately the crashes mainly only occur during the afternoon so fixes aren't necessarily readily testable.

Your cpanel11 issue is completely unrelated. Please submit a trouble ticket for support.

                piku, you still having problems?

Hey piku, are you still having problems? This is the FIFTH day for me! Still getting the MySQL errors and the dathorn crew keeps claiming to be working on it. I asked to be moved to a working server, but they won't do it.

I don't know, five days sounds a bit high for me. I wonder if they'll offer to prorate my monthly fee for this, or if they think I should be paying for intermitten service.

Why don't you ask THEM instead of on a user based forum.

Because THEY are being quite unaccommodating.

We are obviously working on the problem - telling you that is not some sort of joke to get you to stop submitting tickets - it is the truth whether you care to believe it or not. This is an issue with the MySQL software itself that is causing it to crash. I personally have never seen such a problem occur in all of my experience and we are working with many different sources to try and find a real permanent solution.

Meanwhile, if you do notice that MySQL is down then let us know in a ticket, we can generally get it back up and running within a few minutes.
