Sure, that's the easy way out, but I want a custom X skin. I'm halfway there with the banner images...

If you submit a support request, Andrew should be able to load the default skin into a directory of your choosing. That way you have all the files that you need to edit.
I had that done once, but there were too many files for me to look at, so i gave up
