Help with finding somethign in Webstats

    Hello,

I wanted to know how I can find out how many times a specific image file was loaded from my website. I have two .GIF banner ads that I created and they were being shown on another website. I wanted to find out how many times they showed my ads by viewing how many times they were loaded.

I cannot find anywhere in awstats that shows this specific information about images. I see that it shows the information about page views, but not images.

If I go into the "Latest Visitors" screen I can see that the images have been shown quite a lot, but all the "views" are not listed here and I do not want to go through and count them anyways.

Does anyone know of an easier way to find this information? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Adam Murray

I think you would have to parse the "raw log" to find that info. You can download the raw logs from within Cpanel using the "Raw Access Logs" icon. If your set up isn't producing the logs, you use the "Raw Log Manager" icon to set the log up, and archive or delete prior months.

I always have to rename the log from the .com name it takes as a result of my URL domain, which my virus checker thinks is an executable program, to a .txt filename. Then I can open it with Notepad, etc., and search for a particular file. You could import into Excel, Access or a "raw log analyzer" to create macros looking for the specific file.

There is a program that is located in Cpanel under the addon scripts called phpAdsNew. This program will work perfect, you will be able to track your banner impressions and clicks.
