    Backup solution alternative

Since i had a very interesting discussion with mr. Andrew about abusing resources by making backups by mi site. I would like to write a few things about making backups.

If you have a rather BIG site like mine ( 1 GB ) and need to have backup DO NOT use cpanel backup tool cause it is likely to fail. for smaller websites it works like a charm. THe best solution is to use dathorn backup services or to manually tar parts of your site by yourselves ( i wont post how to do it , because if you dont know how this works you can be certain you'll break something and probably get booted of the server ).

it seems that creating uncompressed tars is much better and more effective way for making backups.

ive created a 100MB tar of my gallery in about 40 secs... its not bad compared to how cpanel performs this tasks.
