mozilla can't login to whm - bad certificate

I'm trying to login to WHM using Mozilla Firefox, and I get a dialog box saying the certificate is bad. It asks me to tell the site administrator this:

Your certificate contains the same serial number as another
certificate issued by the certificate authority.  Please get
a new certificate containing a unique serial number.

How can I avoid this, so I can then login to WHM using Firefox.
BTW, it works in IE with a warning that the certificate is not valid.

I checked under tools->options and didn't see a way to override
this warning. Is this a know issue with WHM or Dathorn?

I use WHM with firefox perfectly

It displays a warning it might be invalid; I accept.
Then says its issued for 'cpanel30b.gzo.com - accept.
Then it prompts for user/password login

solution to 'invalid key' with whm on cpanel

In Firefox, go to:

Tools... > Options > Advanced > Certificates > Manage Certificates > Manage Certificates... > Authorities

Look for the cpanelXX.gzo.com ones, mine appear under the Unknown category, then delete them. When you visit your cPanel again you'll be asked to accept the certificate again, that solves the problem.


I found this on forums for FuitadNET (another WHM/Cpanel host like Dathorn)

I think Dathorn should update/get new certificates. :P
