can't loggin and can't access homepage

    Hi,

Sorry for the bothering, but there are things happening that are beyond me.

I am usually in Canada and I never had any problem with with dathorn and the site hosted. Now, I am in France for the next 3 months and I cannot connect to any of my homepages hosted (ie: www.sqh.info ) or my dathorn account (cpanel or whm) or access my mail throught webmail. I cannot even see the page cpanel31.gzo.com .

I cannot fill a trouble ticket because I cannot log into my account and I am a bit at loss here, not really knowing what to do. I used alertra.com and dnsstuff.com and everything is supposed to be fine but I cannot ping my sites. The ISP I use in France is called Tiscali and this is one of the main ISP in Europe.

Do you have any idea about what I could do to solve this problem (or hint on what is going on?).

    Thank you _A LOT_

Seeing as you said you cannot log into CCP--
IMPORTANT: Do not fill out the billing migration form if your original welcome e-mail contains information regarding Ubersmith already as this means that you already have an Ubersmith account and submitting the UberSmith migration form will result in you getting double charged. The link below is for the customer control panel

Did you read that? Are you moved to the new billing syem,
and have filled out the CCP verification form? etc.

One of my friends had this problem when he got his new broadband connection.
I filled a support ticket and it turned out to be the firewall blocking his IP range.

Try sending an email to Andrew detailing your problem and your IP address and if this is the cause, i'd imagine he should have it fixed in no time at all

Right, I did forgot to confirm my contact infos, so I just filled out the form and I am now waiting to be validated.

Nevertheless, I never had a chance to enter any info at cpanel31.gzo.com as it gives me a timeout (the page never loads), same as for my websites.

If you are at a company site, check to see if they have a firewall blocking the ports. If they do, and will not remove the blocks for you, you can use a proxy service to access WHM or Cpanel (I'm using http://www.proxify.com).

Just don't use the "edit" function within Cpanel's File Manager, as you'll mangle all the paths to the file! But the other functions seem to work OK.

Your account info should be validated now. Please submit a trouble ticket with your IP and this should be an easy fix (go to www.whatip.com to confirm your IP).

Thanks for all guys. I opened a ticket, sent a traceroute when asked for it and ... pronto it was fixed and I could reach my homepages and my mail. The only downside is that I never knew what happened and what it is that did not work properly, but I'm happy as a fish in water.

btw, if someone can tell me/us what really happened and what was done to the server/account to fix it, I am sure I'd sleep better tonight .

              Thanks again

I did add a reply earlier explaining the issue but I closed your ticket afterwards so you would have to go view your closed tickets to see it. The problem is with the 83.* IP range and it being so new that the firewall on your server still had it blocked entirely. I thought I had fixed that on all of the servers but apparently not.

I went back and saw that my ticket was closed and did not see that there was a way to read past closed tickets. After your post I guess I found my way back to the ticket history. Thanks for that answer.

Thank you for the great service and the quick turn-around, and have a nice one
