email authentication problem

    email authentication problem

    Why do I get this message

    The server response was: Authentication turned on in your email client.
    whenever I try and send mail through the dathorn server? The outgoing mail server (SMTP) is set as mail.myaccountname, server port is 25, authentication turned off. Are there some special settings required?

    try using just yourdomain.com for the mail server

    try turning authnetication on...

    if nothing works, submit a ticket.

          sometimes the dns gets confused.

          i cant explain why, it usually has something to do with dns changes or domain propigation.
