    Over quota but still getting email?

    I was browsing around the email system a little bit on cpanel and I checked out the Disk Quota on my email accounts. I use IMAP so I assumed that it would be a little big. I have 10 meg of space as a quota, and I am over it on my main account by 20 meg! I am still getting email too!

    Has anyone else seen this? Seems weird that I am getting email in my account when I am way over the quota on two of my accounts on my domain.

    hmm; I'm not sure, but I know when
    my domain quota went out I stopped getting emails;
    maybe this is just a bug?

        I had a client who only had a 25mb limit but were able to load a 100mb pdf file via ftp. We only realized the error when their bandwidth went over

                I doubt it will be fixed ever, let alone soon.

                This problem has always been in cPanel for as long as I've used it. There are sooo many bugs and problems with cpanel regarding quotas and disk-usage (and other things). cPanel has known about these for a long, long time but doesn't seem eager to fix them. I hope some of the alternative panels mature enough to entice people to ditch cpanel. DirectAdmin seems like a nice alternative, but I can see why Andrew doesn't want to switch over to it yet. Just hasn't been around and used enough to rely on. Also, it is still missing some features...

                I would really like to see a good opensource panel. That way, the community can fix bugs and add features themselves, instead of having to rely on a single company.

                  Well, I am glad I wasn't the only one affected by this.

                  It isn't a problem for me though, but it is nice to know what is going on.
