cpanel34 is currently experiencing network related issues, it appears like it may be some sort of DoS attack. I will post more information as we find out.
??? Yes, its old, but Id bet it has something to do with your site being unreachable.
No, it should not be DOS attack. the main IP is working, and we can see sites from cpanel34.gzo.com/~ACCOUNT
But all the NS requests will fail. I've checked all the sites and all of them has same error, and unreachable.
also support is VERY GREATE help, and telling there could be no problem (!!) after I'm sending all info and how he could check where is the error located, he could not solve the problem after an hour.
We have many angry users that are calling us from dawn, and we dont know what to tell them.
After 6 hours of server down and up, and many angry customers, now we have encountered another problem:
Server load is around 14.08 (!!) and apache shows fail. When I submitted ticket, a support told me that he can’t access this server (!) and he ordered server to be rebooted, and I should wait around ANOTHER 20 minutes. Now how can I access to server and control panel, I don’t know!
We have this server load problem many many times with this server and all we'll get is many waiting for replies to tickets, many admin should look at this, many wrong replies and ....
Now my conclusion about this problem is just 2 things:
1-There is bunch of sites in this server that are overloading server.
2-The server is overselled and overloaded by too many resellers like me.
(Please correct me if I'm wrong)
Now my question is: What should we do? Wait until next problem? Move to another server? or...
Please advice, because I'm loosing customers very badly.
We've been working out problems with this server all this past week and then this morning didn't turn out too well due to the power reallocation. If any further problems they will be corrected as quickly as possible. We do not like ongoing problems as much as you don't but lately there has just been a string of customers on that server causing problems which we've slowly been eliminating.
I've got a reply now: "The server is up now, what is the problem" !!
Thats it.
I think I'm going to search for another provider after a long time of being here, but now I think we are loosing customer in this server, and I dont want to sit and see it.
I agree 100 %...... having been involved with several hosts on the past few years my Dathorn experience has been great .....one less thing to worry about...for myself and my clients....I would be interested in hearing both sides of this issue ...
I've not opened this thread for comments/suggestions about dathorn or its services, because I didnt need it as I'm customer of dathorn from almost the begining.
I've used this thread to know what happened in the times that server had problems, and I had posted replies myself when the server is back again to inform all who want to know about it.
We have 3 large reseller account here, but after what happened this month to cpanel34, we've lost many customers that they were with us for about 2 years. So i decided to find another solution as an alternative, not for replacing all my accounts and moving them from dathorn.
Other Dathorn servers that we have accounts in them, has no greate problem at all.
I'm just moving my existing and what left of my sites in cpanel34 to another provider, as we requested Andrew to move them to another Dathorn server, and he refused that.
Hope this reply has lightened what I mean, and what happened.
