I am tired of the constant whining around here between the "aww poor me my account was suspended" and these constant questions about resources usage. There is no set number as a limit, not for server load, not for emails sent, not for forum users online, not for HTML pages per second. These numbers that Andrew throws out are educated guesses and many people on this board live to nit pick them.
In case you haven't noticed Dathorn is a budget reseller host.
Considering the inherent difficulty's with a shared hosting environment Andrew and his team do an amazing job. There are other hosts out there that are just as good, but most cost 2-3x what Dathorn charges.
I don't think me mentioning a competitor is that big a deal, I think you all realize there are other hosts out there that can meet your needs. Me mentioning a name is not going to make people suddenly jump ship.

the way this person is referring to number of users on their site made me think of a forum. I usually don't say I have 80 people on my site, I say I got 3,000 hits today.
Is this 80 users per second, per min, active in the past 15 min? I figured they meant it like a forum, active in the past 15min, so I was ready to say it wouldnt be to problem. I think Andrew took it as 80 users per second or 80 constant httpd requests(which is way to much).
Run watch 'pstree -u | grep httpd' to see how many httpd processes are running every 2 seconds, my server currently has between 12-30 right now. imagine if 10 sites on the server where running 80 httpd a second. it would kill the server. and thats what Andrew was saying.
I apologize if I offended anyone, but I saw this thread and snapped. I have not participated in threads like this in the past, and will not in the future.
