    Forwarding email and retain copy

    Hi,

    Can someone tell me how to forward emails to an external address and retain a copy of the email in the original account using cpanel?

    Regards,

    If you created a POP account, pop@cp.com, then create a forward pop@cp.com -> external@isp.com you should get a copy in both pop@cp.com and external@isp.com. Just don't forget to check that pop@cp.com account once in awhile to clean out the junk mail.

      Thanks for your reply.
      However, I have found that when I set forwarding up (on cpanel23) in the same way you describe, it doesn't retain a copy of the email in the original account.
      So I'm a bit confused....

        You could set it up to forward to your pop acct and then the other location. Same theme but this is what I use.

          slightly different than what your asking but i just create 2 forwarders...works great for me!

          i used it for my voicemail notification:
          an email goes to voicemail@mydomain.com
          i have 2 forwarders setup:
          1) voicemail@mydomain.com --> personalEmail@domain.com
          2) voicemail@mydomain.com --> workemail@domain.com

          and i get a email at both locations.
